San Francisco is Northern California's jewel in the crown and the most popular place to visit in April. It is home to many great attractions, such as parks, beaches, and museums, and it also has a lot of history.
One of the best things to do in San Francisco is to spend a day at Fisherman’s Wharf. While you can discover San Francisco's historic areas, you will also be able to visit some of the most important sites. Fisherman's Wharf is home to Alcatraz (an ex-maximum penitentiary), Musee Mecanique Pier 39 & 45, and The Cartoon Art Museum.
San Francisco offers many museums for those who enjoy them. After you have chosen the one that suits your interests best, find out when free admission is available. Many museums in San Francisco offer free admission on selected days of the month.
You must also cross the Golden Gate Bridge. This iconic bridge is an engineering marvel and a San Francisco landmark. Visit the Visitor’s Center to learn more about its history or simply stare at it from all angles and take pictures.

Best Time to Go
April is the best time to visit San Francisco after the rainy season (November-March). In milder weather, enjoy April events such as the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival and San Francisco Filmfest. San Francisco's climate can be described as pleasant throughout the year.
It's usually between 63-75 degrees F in April with a low of around 50 F. However, it is more common to have one or two showers in April. Windy days are generally more common than wet ones.
Summer is the peak season in San Francisco. If you want to avoid the crowds, come in the fall when the beaches are isolated, hotels and airfares are less and you can enjoy the city markets to the full.
